Deep Healing, Self-Discovery and Meaningful Transformation

A compassionate space for healing trauma, reconnecting with yourself, and discovering a more authentic way of living.

My Journey

My interest in healing began long before I became a psychologist.

I grew up closely connected to my grandmother and great-grandmother, both from Överkalix in the far north of Sweden. Through them, I was introduced to a way of understanding life that valued intuition, resilience, connection, and the deeper dimensions of human experience. These early influences planted the seeds of a lifelong interest in spirituality and what it means to be fully human.

My own experiences of growing up in a family affected by illness and emotional challenges led me to question how suffering develops, how relationships shape us, and what allows people to heal. Long before I formally trained as a psychologist, I found myself drawn to both psychology and spiritual traditions as ways of understanding our inner lives. Rather than seeing these as separate paths, I became increasingly curious about how they might complement one another in supporting healing, growth, and transformation.

Life then took me to the Middle East, where I spent almost twenty years raising my two daughters. During those years, I lived in a variety of cultural settings, including several years as part of a minority community. These experiences profoundly shaped me, deepening my understanding of identity, belonging, resilience, and the ways culture, community, and conflict influence our inner worlds. They also broadened my perspective on humanity, strengthening my appreciation for both our differences and the experiences that connect us all.

My curiosity about human suffering, resilience, and transformation eventually led me into the field of trauma psychology. Over the years, I have worked within specialist trauma services across London, Oxford, Haywards Heath, and Northern Iraq, supporting individuals and groups affected by trauma, adversity, loss, and complex life experiences.

Alongside my clinical work, I have continued to deepen my understanding of healing through advanced training in EMDR, Internal Family Systems (IFS), Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, Transpersonal and Regression Hypnotherapy, and Applied Shamanism. While these approaches differ in their methods, they share a common recognition that healing involves more than reducing symptoms. They invite us to explore the emotional, relational, physical, and, where meaningful to each individual, spiritual dimensions of our lives.

Over time, I began to notice that beneath trauma, anxiety, grief, or emotional pain there was often something deeper – a disconnection from one’s authentic self. While our experiences shape us in profound ways, I do not believe they define who we truly are. This understanding has become one of the foundations of my work.

My approach brings together psychological science, clinical experience, and an openness to the deeper dimensions of healing. It recognises that our emotional, relational, physical, and spiritual lives are deeply interconnected, and that therapy can be both a place to work through suffering and an opportunity to reconnect with ourselves, rediscover our innate resilience, and move towards a more authentic way of living.

I have come to believe that healing is rarely about fixing what is broken. More often, it is a process of reconnecting with the wisdom, resilience, and authenticity that already exist within us.

My hope is to offer a compassionate and thoughtful space where healing can unfold at its own pace – with curiosity, respect, and trust. Whether someone comes to therapy seeking relief from trauma, anxiety, relationship difficulties, or a deeper understanding of themselves, I hope they leave with a greater sense of connection to who they truly are and the confidence to live more fully from that place.
